Struggled with rating this one as I had a mixed experience really. The food was okay, although cost more than I thought it was worth. The draft drinks seemed to all be flat so maybe a problem with their lines and I was served a warm glass of white wine. However, I was very impressed with the service here. Just one girl behind the bar, running all the drinks and most of the food, before another lady started to help our running the food. Despite how busy they were, they didn’t falter in their efforts and were really kind and good spirited. I was also very pleasantly surprised by how great their cocktails where!! Overall I would visit again, but maybe skip the food and just enjoy a nice cocktail in a welcoming bar.
The location is fantastic to enjoy the sea view and have a pint or some food. They have a lovely outside sitting space and inside as well. The staff are friendly. We ordered battered fish and chips and one wide a side of salad instead of chips. Lovely fresh food.
I had the fresh Swordfish with cheesy crushed potatoes, asparagus etc. The meal was cooked to perfection and the flavour was excellent. I can highly recommend the Ocean Deck for daily freshly prepared food. I've never had a bad meal here.
We came yesterday after trying to come a few weeks back when the conservatory was being done. We said we would return next time we were over and so glad that we did. The food was stunning, the service perfect , the atmosphere as it should be and on the terrace the sun was shining. Dog friendly on the terrace and in the conservatory. We shall return when we are next over. Thank you for a great all round expierence.
Didn't get as far as trying the food. No one to welcome us in to our booked table. Had to collect our own menus and no one would serve us drinks. One member of staff was so rude to a customer without any reason that 5 sets of customers who had also been waiting walked out. Hopefully this was just a one off and someone having a bad day. I can recommend nextdoor restaurant, Reef who welcomed everyone in and did their best to serve a sudden influx with good spirit and quickly.
